The first semester of Whiz Kids help at Chapel Hill is now complete and
considered a great success. We now have 29 tutors supported by 16
substitute tutors who fill in when the regular tutors cannot attend.
As great as this start is, there are still many worthy grade school
children who want and need help in reading. If you would like to join
this wonderful outreach program, call Valerie Steele, 751-0755 or David
Orwig, 842-1280. It requires only 2 hours a week on Tuesday afternoons
and is so beneficial to our neighborhood children. If Tuesdays are not
a good fit, try Thursday afternoons at our other site (Covenant Life, N
31st & Utah). To sign-up for Thursdays, contact Bob Heatley,
