Sports Descriptions:Basketball LeagueMen’s SummerTwo divisions to choose from: Recreational (Sundays) or competitive (Mondays). The league is limited to the first ten teams in each league that sign up and pay the registration fee. The season begins May 4 and May 5. Regular season is followed by an eight-team, single elimination tournament in each division. All games are held on Sunday or Monday evenings at Crossings Community Church.

This annual tournament is held Sunday, October 5 at Rose Creek Golf Club. The shotgun start is at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $65 per person. Register as an individual or in pairs. If you are a Crossings attender and you register with a person who does not regularly attend a church, that guest’s registration fee is waived. The registration fee includes a box lunch before your round, cart, green fee, practice facilities, awards and prizes, plus a hot hors d’oeuvres buffet after you play.
This tournament includes three flights of golfers: two men’s and one coed. Prizes are awarded to the top finishers in each flight. Additional prizes and giveaways for golfers and an on-course Bible quiz are also part of the event. Registration forms are available at the Fitness Center, or you may register online. Body BalanceMeets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-4:45 p.m. in the Fitness Center. Register online or in the Fitness Center.This class incorporates Pilates and Yoga movements along with resistance equipment to develop strength, stability, balance and flexibility. Boot CampMeets Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays from 6:15-7 a.m. or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-6:45 p.m. in the Gym. Class size is limited to 25 (experienced fitness levels only). Register online or in the Fitness Center.Boot camp workouts are efficient because you work your entire body by going from one exercise to another with no rest. The workouts involve calisthenics like push-ups, and other body weight exercise. In Boot Camp, your challenge is to take your body to its limit. You work, you sweat and, best of all, you burn calories like crazy. Circuit TrainingClass is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7 a.m. or 12:15-12:45 p.m. in the Fitness Center strength room. Register online or in the Fitness Center.Early morning Circuit Training is an excellent way to simultaneously improve mobility and stamina. Taking this class can improve your strength and your aerobic fitness as well as burning fat in one workout. The "CORE"Class is held in room 250 from 8:30-9 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Register online or in the Fitness Center.Building a strong core is the first step toward making maximal gains in strength and power and performing any kind of functional movement. Strong supporting muscles around the spine also reduce lower back pain, as well as the risk of lower-back injury. Golf FitnessSessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-3:45 p.m. Register online or in the Fitness Center.This is a group class designed for golf-specific functional exercise training. This class focuses on rotational mobility, stabilization, flexibility and improving physical limitations by increasing strength and conditioning. Pilates PlusThis class is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.; or Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9:15-9:45 a.m.; or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:15 p.m. in room 250. Register online or in the Fitness Center.This group class guides you through mat exercises while using different “props.” Foam rollers, Fit Circles, bands and balls add resistance and balance challenges to the original mat work while taking your body further along in the quest for total body fitness. Pilates SculptThis class is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30-7 a.m. in room 250. Register online or in the Fitness Center.We’ve blended Pilates with hand weights in one extraordinary workout. Body sculpting with weights creates unparalleled muscle tone and definition. Now you can get the best of Pilates and the best of sculpting in one workout. Pilates Sculpt will make the most of your workout time and deliver RESULTS! Sit and Be FitThe class is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:15-11 a.m. in room 250. Register online or in the Fitness Center.This class offers seated routines that accomplish stretching and strengthening benefits. Most exercises are done sitting in a chair. This workout includes both upper and lower body movements. Step FusionClass meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:15 p.m. in room 250. Register online or in the Fitness Center.This class offers everything you need to get a great full body cardio and strength work out. We use the step to increase the heart rate and weights to strengthen the muscles. Total Body Makeover for WomenThe class is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:15-10 a.m. in room 250. Register online or in the Fitness Center.Total Body Makeover For Women—We have combined cardiovascular and strength training exercises designed to get noticeable results. Each of the accelerated workouts has been created to energize and invigorate your body and mind while you have fun and trim down in the process. |
