 Last year one of the ways that the United Methodist Church responded to disasters was by collecting disaster relief kits for UMCOR. Chapel Hill needs your help to assemble sewing kits. The list of needed items for the kit can be found below. You may bring completed kits, or you may bring items from the list, by Monday, May 19, to the collection barrel by the north glass doors. Wrap sewing notions in the fabric and place in a sealed one-gallon ziplock bag. Sewing Kit: • 1 package of needles • 1 pair of sewing scissors • 1 spool of thread • 5-8 matching buttons • 3 yd. of fabric (uncut, cotton or cotton-blend, solid color or print fabric) |
