This year we played at BoomTown Ball Yards (map) on Thursday nights.

Adult Slow Pitch League Rules

1. We abide by ASA rules. A UIC will be available for questions and interpretation of rules.*
2. *There are no gender-specific requirements for defensive positions.
3. Time limit is 55 minutes with no new innings starting after 55 minutes of play.
4. Run Rules: 12, 10, and 8 in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th inning or 20 runs after any inning. Progressive Tie Breaker is in effect at time expiration.
5. 3 home runs are allowed per team, all other home runs constitute a foul ball and all foul ball rules apply.
6. Line-up must be ready at game time. (First name, last name, uniform number, position name or number.)
7. A team may start with seven players, no more than 5 of the same gender in co-ed play. An “X” will be marked when no player is available.
8. Home team will be decided by coin flip at game start.
9. Game time is forfeit time. If a team is not available for play at game time, it will be considered a forfeit. All teams must pay forfeit fee before the first game of play. If for some reason, you do forfeit a game, your fee must be replenished before you will be allowed to continue with league play. All forfeit fees will be given back to you at the end of the season if no forfeit is called on your part.
10. Official book is home book. If the home team doesn’t have their team scorebook on hand, the visiting team will be the official scorebook.
11. You will provide your own game balls. Umpires will check the balls before the beginning of league play. Each ball must be white with red stitching, bearing the ASA stamp. (Preferably Worth) The ball must be COR .440, compression 375. Men must use the 12 inch ball, and women will use the 11 inch ball. (See pg. 67 in your ASA rulebook.) Optic yellow balls with red stitching and same specifications as above may be used if both teams agree.
12. Bats must be marked Official Softball and dimensions must fall under the regulations as noted on page 63 in your ASA rulebook.
13. No smoking in the dugouts or on the playing fields.
14. No outside food or drinks on the premises. (Including alcohol!) There will be no tolerance.
15. Profanity will not be tolerated.
16. Verbal or physical altercations will not be tolerated and is grounds for ejection from the park in addition to a 1 game suspension or season probation.
17. Harassment of officials will not be tolerated. 1st offense is grounds for ejection from the park in addition to a 2 game suspension. 2nd offense results in ejection and a 4 game suspension. 3rd offense results in ejection from the park without a registration refund.
18. Be prepared to begin play early!
19. Due to ASA regulations, no head bandanas will be tolerated.
