Written by Robert Rose
THANK YOU!
In this past week, I have been able to witness so many expressions of the great people of Chapel Hill touching people’s lives.  I am continually impressed with the deep level of faith in so many and at the great strides of faith being taken by others.  God is doing some amazing things through us!

Please put the Celebration of Music on your calendar for Sunday, May 4th at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary.  Childcare will be available.  Please invite your friends.  I have heard some of the choirs practice.  It will be wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As most of you know, we received our recycling dumpster recently. This is our first foray into recycling products. Currently, we are capable of recycling paper products only. We would invite everyone in the congregation to participate by bringing your recyclable paper products to the church and depositing them into our green and yellow dumpster.
The Endowment Seminar that I mentioned in the last newsletter has been postponed. We will keep you advised of the rescheduled date as we learn more.

A special Charge Conference has been called for Tuesday, April 15, to meet during our normal Church Council meeting. The Charge Conference will be held shortly after 6:00pm and will meet in the Fellowship Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to approve or not approve a salary revision for our two full-time associate pastors. This proposal will bring their salary in line with the 2008 budget that has already been approved. While only the members of the Church Council are authorized to vote, any member of the church is welcome to attend. As with all Church Council meetings, all members are welcome to attend. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Robert Rose or John Brett, our Church Council chairperson.

Tell Me A Story! Print E-mail
Written by Tanya Smith
As we prepare and get closer to the 50th anniversary of Chapel Hill UMC I encourage each of you, members and non-members alike, to write a paragraph or two (or three …) of what Chapel Hill means to you. Tell how the people and / or ministry has touched or changed your life, the life of your spouse or children. Share how God led you here. Perhaps you would like to share your favorite memory of Chapel Hill or what you envision for Chapel Hill’s future. Whatever your thoughts may be … they will be welcomed.
All of the thoughts and memories will be gathered and produced in book-form to help commemorate Chapel Hill UMC’s 50th anniversary. Photos are encouraged to be turned in too! Please include a photo of yourself (and your family) around the time that you began attending Chapel Hill and / or a present photo. Please take part by emailing, typing or writing to me (email is preferred - This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Thanks!
